"Sowing the Seeds of Harmony through Nature"
About this committee:
The Garden Club maintains plantings to benefit visitors while walking or biking through this historic and scenic area.

Conservation Chair Deb Barhight organized her committee members to join North Whitehall Township employees along with Iron Rail Trail partners and local citizens to plant and mulch on Earth Day 2026. The Township initiated a renovation of 2 sign plantings and added a border planting along the trail thanks to a grant from Lehigh Valley Greenways. The volunteers planted coneflowers, catmint, daylilies and rose bushes. Our club will be adding red, white and blue flowering plants for America's 250th.
The trailhead is located at Portland and Quarry Sts in Coplay and has a large parking lot.
Many thanks to Karen and Larry Pimble, Deb Barhight, Maria Dax (and Bill Dax) and Helen Papathanasiou for their work that day. PGC will continue to care for the newly refurbished beds.
